Review: [5 / 5] Loved it! I'm a die-hard fan of the original and there is room on the playground for this live-action departure for me. John Cho and Mustafa Shakir snap great chemistry as Spike and Jet, and Daniella Pineda is a charismatic, hilarious Faye despite fan-whiny anime departure. Just watching these three together is the charm of a rudely interrupted series with an amazing Bebop set and film style. A likeable Asian-American lead is hard to find in Hollywood and despite a divided fanbase exploding an Astral Gate-sized rupture to the Netflix execs, I enjoyed the visuals, the quirkiness and the music. My nitpicks: Julia's whereabouts should have never been known to Spike and Ed's acting missed the mark but, please, Netflix Overlords, stop cancelling at cliff-hangers and give shows a heads-up it's their last season. Endings are just as important as middles and beginnings, both of which Cowboy Bebop did well in its own version of the Bebop sandbox.
